Lowering - the lowering we indicate refers to the stationary
height of the new vehicle.
Measurin g technique - stationary height - To obtain
comparable measured values, the influence of the
wheel/tire combination on the height to be calculated,
should be eliminated - consequently
the vertical distance from the wheel hub centre to the lower
edge of the mudguard should be compared prior
to/after conversion.
Special features for Mercedes Benz Type - if the disered
lowering is not achieved, the dimensioning of the rubber
spring plate installed by the manufacturer should be
checked and the spring plate replaced where necessary.
The rubber spring plates are available in all Daimler-
Chrysler specialist workshops in sizes 8-23 mm.
Levelling control - the levelling control should be adjusted
by a specialist workshop.
Antiskid system - by each type of vehicle with the antiskid
system it should be made sure that the sensors are being
precisley readjusted after installation.
The extension of the lowering has to be reduced by the
series lower ing."
